    Diagnose Rod Knock?!?

im afraid i've got some rod knock working right now, only i've never actually heard it before. the cars a 98 Z with 98k M6, mild cam (MTI B1), LS6 intake, headers, ect. she started ticking like a bast**d, and ended up being a few collapsed lifters. just finished swapping them out for some pro-magnums, and started her up. now ~2k rpm you hear another ticking that only gets worse as the tach goes up. sounded similar to the lifters only much quieter. i need some help with diagnosing the problem pleaseeeee!!

Also, why is it you have to pull the motor from the bottom of the car?

Very possible. Thats how my rod knock started.

Watch for fluctuations in the oil pressure.
