Comp Thumper cams

Hello Guys, Has anyone tried the Thumper line of cams from Comp Cams, i know these cams was design for their nice muscle car sound but surpose to perform well also, so they say. trying to see what yall think about them, car will be used manily for cruising with a blast down the track from time to time.

Cam selection depends so much on the heads and other mods you have. Can you elaborate please?

ive heard good things from a few people..they sound great and perform pretty good..but like they said..it all depends on your mods bro..call a comp cams tech and theyll help you with your decision

They are more of a "cruise-in" type cam, theyre designed to sound meaner than what they are. Check out the LSA's on them, they are designed more for the engine swap carbureted motors, you probably wouldnt want to even consider trying to use them with fuel injection.
