    Comp Cams New Thumper Cams

Does anyone know when Comp Cams will be offering the new THUMPER cam series for the Gen 111 LS1 motors ?

Why would Crane copy these when they had their own series of big cams out for the Gen III motor over a year ago. Just got in a Comp cam to install in a friends car, no pin in the cam. Great quality control there at Comp. Called their tech support, the guy tells us to pull the pin from the old cam and install in the new. This is a case hardened pressed in pin, so they even had incompetent people on tech support. I'm not impressed

this cam is not even out and you call it the best sounding cam, lol
sounding good doesnt mean it will perform well.
the cam you speak about is unproven, why would crane copy it?

if you look at the specs, you'll see why they'll never make them for any computer controlled engine.

now, if you want to use that cam, convert your LS1 to carb and have at it. the Thumpr Cams are specifically targeted for the older musclecars.

first off, they dont even make one for an ls1,

Thumprâ„¢ Cam Specs and Part Numbers

Big Block Chevrolet Small Block Ford Windsor
Small Block Chevy 55-98' Small Block Chrysler
Small Block Chevy 87-98' (w/factory roller)

secondly, just because it cackles hard means nothing.
you can order any cam with a low LSA and get it to cackle like it does in the sound clip.
