Comp 918 Blues
My engine is being put together with Comp 918s as this being written. I bought my springs on Ebay. How do I tell if they are bad? Other than blowing up my motor.

There should be a number or something on the box to tell if they are part of the faulty run of springs. I would look into it before they were installed.

LS1gto.com has been keeping tabs on them, check there for batch numbers if you have the original box. If it were me, I would either get a set of PSI 1511 ML or the PAC 1518's and not sure the Comps. There are a number of guys building new motors due to those springs.

The comps are going, and new springs are coming. Thanks for the input. I would rather not take the chance.
