catchcan full of tan gunk
my catchcan was full of thick tan gunk that smells like a bad brandy? been running moblie 1 synthetic, and when I drainef the oil it looks fine, but had some rust on the top end of the dipstick and the same tan gunk on the inside of the oil fill cap.
anyone know what this could be from? I thought maybe headgasket, but like I said the oil out of the pan and on the dipstick look fine.

drive the car short distances much? how far is your typical destination from your house? Reason I ask is that water vapor from the air can condense inside your engine if you do a certain amount of short-trip driving and what you're describing sounds about right to me. I don't think you have a problem.
