isnt the Ford GT a supercharged [and pretty common] 5.4 Liter?

it IS a blown 5.4 just like the shelby cobra.......now if its the same exact motor im not sure...id imagine there quite close

Yes the Shelby GT500 uses a detuned version of the Ford GT Engine.
5.4 Litre Supercharged backed up by a T56.

Actually the 5.4 in the GT500 is different from the 5.4 in the GT. The one in the GT is a dry sump oiling system while the on in the 500 is a wet sump. Also the blower and heads are different. Oh yeah cam profiles too.
