cam sound clip
anyone have a clip of a 228/230 580/590 on a 114 lsa? or something similar to that? the guy thats putting my cam in just told me had to put this one in instead of my other choice. does this cam have a good lope to it?

cam lope?
a 114 lsa cam will lope a little. But not nearly as much as a 112 lsa cam.

ended up being 224/230 581/592 114lsa, it definately doesn't sound stock

i only did the cam an long tube headers, the cam swap was $1000 with a custom tune on the dyno. alot of people say do supporting mods first then cam, but why does it matter? you will still get the same end results if you do supporting mods later down the road and supporting mods are cheap. i thought hell might as well tackle the big things first.

yes, i went with the patriot dual valve spring kit and hardened pushrods. the damn car is like a rocket, i couldn't believe it when i first drove it the power it had gone from. and the sound of that cam is perfect, not to much lope and not to little. you should see the people when i pull up to the gas station, it really gets people talking. a couple guys the other day pulled up after i was in the store, they walked in talking about my car loping out there. the one guy told the other guy "daaaaammmn son you better put that mustang away when that car gets out on the road". i thought i was gonna shit myself.

will a 112 LSA give you any more power than than a 114 (same cam)? My guess is 112 will be a little bit better up top, and 114 will give a better curve?? I'm looking for a lope that will scare the shit out of people, with good street manners, and good power. Is there any huge difference between the 112 and 114, or is it just the lope that people are looking for?

Higher LSA's are better for spray.

i have been told the 114 is easier to tune
