Cam only in a 2000 C5 A4

My father has a 2000 C5 convertible and I currently work at a custom cam shop and am able the get cams ground pretty cheap.

His car has about 35,000 on it and he commonly drives it cross country. Thought I would run this set-up by you guys, to see if this type of set-up would effect mileage at all or have other issues?

Will be having it tuned after install will this be able to be driven 200-300 miles from his place to my tuners?

Cam will be around 226ish/230ish .600/.600ish 114+2.
Plan also on doing PSI 1511 springs and Trend push rods with the cam. May also do a LS2 or true roller timing set.

How hard is this work to do on a corvette, whats involved ?

above cam will be streetable with a tune.
get beehive springs rated to 650 lift, im not sure what brand the part number you gave above are. while doing the cam swap, its totally best to change out the time chain for an ls2 unit.
also it would be best to get a better oil pump in there.
the car may run a little funky but it can be driven 300 miles.

224/230 .595/.595 on a 113'

I'm hoping it will leave a little room for growing, maybe a stall, headers ,243 heads LS6 intake down the road.

i wouldnt even do a cam before a header swap.
the cam will be choked with the stock manifolds.
youll be lucky to see half of the cams full potential horsepower.

Generally for any major mods (such as a cam swap) you'll need a good exhaust.
