cam install

i know ya'll are tired of hearing this but i am learning.

what is the average amount it cost to get a cam installed and tuned.
and what would be a good cam for a SS camaro M6. i would like something that pulls hard from stop light to stop light.

installation 400-550, tune-350-450
224r cam on a 112 would be nice
parts-500-800

you take your camaro and put a 224 cam in wth LT headers, catback exhaust, lid, throw some gears in it, and have it tuned, there wont be many cars that can beat you from stoplight to stoplight.

i just got a Comp Cams 224/224 .581/.581 112 lsa installed and tuned for $900.

i also had installed LS6 oil pump, LS2 timing chain, springs, retainers, and pushrods. extra $150 for the LS6 oil pump and timing chain, otherwise the cam, springs, retainers, and pushrod install would have cost me $750. hope this helps. results are in my sig...

cam has a nice lope sound at idle, and yes get long tubes and an LS6 intake, those will be my mods.
