    Cam HP & TQ gains??

    i got a cam Comp 224/224 .581/.581 112lsa that i'm getting installed and my car tuned this friday. what kind of gains should i look for? my mods are in my signature.

    parts installed are: cam, springs, spring bases, retainers, pushrods, ls2 timing chain, ls6 oil pump, and tune. crap can the end of the week get here any faster?

    I installed that same cam in my car and it actually dissapointed me a little but still felt like it gave me better top end than anything. After i installed my LTs the thing came alive and i could really feel the difference even with stock tune. My car drove fine with stock tune so if i were you i would wait and install LTs and then do the tune if $ is an issue

    If the car was fast on the stock tune...... you just got lucky is all.

    I'd suggest getting a tuner that grows with you..... like HP tuners or one of the better handhelds. That way, you don't have to worry about paying more $$ for someone to tune your car as your mods change.
