Cam Combo opinions
I currently have a 02 Z-28 with full exhaust and bolt ons, it is just a weekend fun car. I am planning on adding the Patriot 226 cam with all the valvetrain upgrades, the car has 3.42 gears and I will be adding a built trans with a 3200 stall. I was just wondering what everyones opinion is on this setup? I would like to keep good street manners and also add some performance to the car. Thanks for any input on this.

I'm running a 228 cam with heads and a 3500 stall and it has pretty good street manners. I would think that cam choice would work for you. I'm pretty happy with my setup. It's exactly what I wanted out of the car. Decent power without all the big cam headaches.

Thanks, the 226 cam will be on a 112LSA and the tuner that will be setting it up said that it will not be a problem, the trans and converter will be installed in about 2-3 weeks and the cam will be a few months behind. Just a few pics of my car. Thanks for the replys!

Nice looking car Jumper!
I have basically the same cam coming for mine, but will be using a PI Vigilante 3600 stall and (swapped rear) 342 gears in my A4 car.

I'd go with the 3600 or bigger on the stall.

I thought about going a little bigger, but this is a street car only on street tires(KDW) and I think I would have some traction issues with a bigger stall. Im looking for a nice street setup that has good street manners. A year from now you will see me upgrade to a 4000 stall and you can tell me(I told you so) Thanks for the input and reply, I`ll post up after I get the trans/converter installed.

I like the sound of the 112lsa, and was told that with proper tuning it would not be a problem. I still have a couple of months before I purchase the cam, so I could change my mind. I have a really good tuner that said I should not have any problems.
