    Angry cam bearing problems

Having problems with an LS-1 race engine in my corvette. I have had the cam bearings walk out of place on me twice now. The first time the engine had only about one hour on it and #3 cam bearing walked out and the lifter punched a hole right through it. Now after another freshen up #1 and #4 cam bearings have done the same thing. The block is in spec, we are using the correct bearings, the engine is not getting hot, the cam is good. The bearing do not spin they just move back far enough to uncover the oil port and hit the lifters. The last time they were replaced my builder peened the journals to prevent the bearings from moving and they still moved. Has anyone ever had this problem or heard of it before? Any help would be appreciated-We have a race coming soon and don't need to run into this again.

I've spoken to GM engineers and several engine builders, I've had the block, cam, and the components checked and re-checked-has no one ever seen this????? The GM engineer said he had seen it once before but the car was under warranty and they just replaced the engine. Need any input on this I can get-any builders or other racers out there with any ideas??
