For just lid/cam/exhaust that is WAY TOO HIGH. He must have head work done that he doesn't know about from previous owner or something. Or other mods that aren't listed.

That does sound a bit high but maybe he has a factory freak or he didn't list all his mods as mentioned above.

No such thing as a factory freak. But I am guessing all the mods aren't listed. Btw was this on a mustang dyno or dynojet?

I'm hoping to get down to Byron late this summer. Hopefully Aug or Sep. I know the temps will suck but with the new power comes new clutch Going to try it on street tires with 10 bolt and see if it holds. Can't get the big ol' rear end til after summer. Would you be down for a trip there. Trying to get my buddy to bring his C6 Z06 and some others. Think it would be fun.

Can do on the week or two. (hey that rhymned) Have you taken the C6 down at all or did you just stick with the T/A while you had it. Be interested to see what that vette runs. I should have more fun this time, cars being towed by my buddies Cummings just in case the rear goes while I'm down there. Last best was:

    12.90 2.2 - 60ft @ 115mph

On street tires, full 32 psi pressure (for sake of rear)
I'd be happy with a 12.4 on junk tires. At least I would know there was more in it.

No haven't had the vette down the track yet. Don't have a problem at all though making passes with it. Looking at getting some M/T Street Radials. But once I do that I know the modding process will begin again. At least your being smart and having your car towed down. 32 psi is still pretty high even for the safe side. What's your expectations once your all said and done?

Once you pop on the vette, you won't be able to stop I knew 32 was high but its over an hour away so better safe then sorry. I am hoping with DR or Slicks (want to stay away from slicks because this car is mainly a street car) that I can get down to around 11.9 or so. Thats with H/C/ and bolt ons.

There are absolutely cars that put down more hp than others...for whatever reason.

it was at on a dyno jet I thought it was high and for the mod it's my buddy and that all he has done 02 trans has the ls6 intake but still if this is true he gain like a 100 horse to the rear tires that sounds crazy with a cam swap

Sounds about right if M6 and stock 10 bolt with 3.42's.

Put a worthy rearend with gears to actually match that cam and it will be right around 405-410.
Just because it made that power...doesn't mean it uses it very well.

Why would you say that? I tuned a 100% paper-filter stock 02SS M6 about 9 months ago. It had knocked as long as the owner had purchased it NEW. It had been back to the dealer many times for it and about a half dozen other shops. Eventually a dealer told him about me. The OEM spark map ended up being WAY too much for the car up top. Timing had to be reduced to nearly 20-21 degrees across the board to keep it from knocking. The car made an astounding 345rwhp on the Dynojet 224 that I tune on!! My own car when 100% stock (01 TA M6) made 301rwhp on this dyno. M6 cars make about 295-307ish on average when bone stock. That makes his car a factory freak... A good friends firehawk ran low 11s (M6 car) at 122MPH cam-only; 430rwhp on the same dyno as above with a g5x3, QTPs, ls6 intake, and not even an UD pulley.. that's another factory freak. That same combo commonly nets 400 to the tire.

Most cam-only MS3s don't make over 400 to the tire on the dyno I tune on even with an M6. That cam really wants at least milled heads.

Doesn't matter my car is lighter than his and i can launch 9inch with 4.56 gears real mans gears so it will be ok but 100horse to the wheels for 1200bucks isnt to bad I would spent the 4to5 hundred more for the heads cam package

I believe it. I dont know the exact specs but the MS3/4 both have a 600 plus lift so there gonna make power. Look at the dyno graph and you will see all the power isnt unlocked untill the RPM's start climbing to the top. I noticed u said his car is an 02, so the stock LS6 intake helps out a lot to.
