Blow By?
hey guys...any help with this would be greatly appreciated...00 z...i bought the car and it has an HKS oil reservoir on it from pcv to throttle body. i have been told that ls1's like to burn oil...it only does it when the oil is dirty...but it is consuming a little...but will smoke like nobodyas biz when you hammer on it sometimes....a fresh oil change took care of the smoke, but what about the consumption?

I would normaly say that a ls6 pvc conversion kit would help, but with a catch can you are dealing with some serious problems. Is the car modified alot. I would pull spark plugs and check there first, but it sounds like blowby. What type of oil are you using? A compression test would shed some more light on this. I guess some one was hammering the sh!t out her, or put the n2o to it to much.
