biggest cam without flycut
I have a LS1 with a 222/224 cam and 241 cast ported heads milled 30 thou to 11:1
and I am wanting to put a bigger cam in
was hoping something mid to high 230's
any one know how big you can go without fly cutting the pistons

You say the heads have been ported, so they have larger valves, correct? Stock heads milled .030" with 2.02/1.60 valves and even a stock thickness head gasket won't accept anything much larger than what you have now. Mid-upper 230 duration, no way. 228-230 maximum, and even then you should measure.

With the heads milled I wouldn't go MS4 either.
Custom cam is what you are looking for.
You likely don't need the biggest cam you can fit either to meet your goals.

Speed Inc. is great.
Not sure which shops will ship to you though.
Why do you think you need the biggest cam that will fit?

Head gasket thickness?
Otherwise stock bottom end LS1 correct?
This would likely fit your needs well. I don't like to run any cam without measuring (using clay to determine clearance) first.

your probably better off calling TSP rather then emailing them, they seem to always be pretty busy and were slow answering my emails also.
