best heads to choose for torquerv3 cam
i recently put the torquerv3 cam in with upgraded valve train, oil pump, timing chain.. i have lts and true duel exhaust. i put down 402 rwhp after the tune. now im looking for the best heads to choose , the car will always be NA. i will probably do the intake 102 setup along with this.. is it better to just port the stock heads or get some 243 and port them or go with something else like 5.3. any suggestions .. -02 ss camaro

I personally went with TSP's PRC227 heads dude. they are supposed to have the best compression. to be honest I haven't gotten them in yet so I couldn't tell you first hand buy look up on you tube Texas speed & performance head/cam national 1/4 mile record. there just the 215's

i have a set of dart 205's. but u cant go wrong with afrs heads. my 205s have been well worked but they didnt flow as good as i had hoped before. they make good low end tq. that may be the 11.5-1 cr as well but its fun to drive

I put the Torquer 3 in my car as well. I called Texas Speed today. The guy told me the best suggestion was The LS6 stage 2.5 heads. He said there was a 15-20 hp difference in the stage 2.5 and the PRC 227 heads. Money difference too, lol. We can actually have the heads milled down to about 61cc to get to about 11:1 compression. I'm thinking of going with the 227's myself. However, I'm trying to convince myself to go ahead and build a 408 stroker.

wow didn't know that umm I'd he happen to tell you which heads were better? bc I know they specifically used PRC215's in there 9sec. camaro at their LSX shoot out.....oh wait you know what that's prolly cuz your torquer makes low end torque while the ms4 is all upper so that's prolly why they told you to go with the 2.5's bc of your cam. I mean that makes sense, right? bc I know they were auto with a really high stall(like 4400) so that they could keep it in the upper rpm's the whole time so thats prolly why they went with the ms4 with 227's and the 90/90 setup by fast. haha that's the reason I bought it but of course me being me I had to get the 227's with 61cc to up the compression and the ms4 which I think I might regret bc I'm m6 but w/e nuttin I can do about it now and also had to go one up with the 102mm/102mm setup from fast with their 100mm maf god I can't wait to get this shit put in. damn man I've been waiting since mid oct. so far #%^* I can't wait for tax return. I'm so anxious!!!!

How's it going guys i am about to do my cam swap (ms4) and I will be using the 205 eliminator Afr heads after talking to my machine shop. I also asked about the ls6 heads and he said that you can buy a way better flowing head that's why he suggested the afrs and I figure I'll get them milled if they don't performe they way I hope
