Best cam for ls1
Hey guys. I'm thinkin bout goin for a cam on my ls1. But I havnt decide yet
so my question is. What could be a good cam for my car, that could make a diference and I can be smog legal? Is there any way for that?
I dnt really knw nothin bout cams
I'm gonna get the ls6 intake and the ls6 ported heads
I want somethin not very loud. And somethin to make power
so any advice?

I believe the biggest you can go is like a 224/224 duraton cam and still pass Californias smog testing.

Anybrand in specific? It makes a diference on power ?
My friend got a cam on his car and makes too much noise.
Is it goin to make to much noise? Thanks

I can deal with the noise
but my worries are to het pulld over for that noise or get a ticket
or cams are legal.

i have 230/236 with 112+2 + magnaflow CB and the car still sounds stockish until i open the Cutouts !!

I'll might go fit that one
some guy do the job here for $1800 with the cam and labor.
Friends told me that's too much, so usuly job like that how much they go for?
And how many hp Im gonna gain

Citrus(burn't) Orange- 2001 Camaro SS
yea i have a 2001 camaro SS automatic and im wanting to install a cam but dont want to change the torque converter just yet. so i was planning on going with the 224/224 112lsa <(recommended by Thunder Racing) and i was wondering what kind of Gains am i gonna see.
