backward rods
while reinstalling my the rod and piston combos I noticed that the pistons marked 7 and 8 have rods that seem backwards to the other cylinders.
The rods are suppose to have the angled edge away from the other rod on the same journal and the smooth straight edge against one another. Well they are opposite of that.
So my question is, are the numbers stamped on the bottom of the piston require that it be in the labeled cylinder or can I swap the two pistons and correct the backward rod problem?

The bores should be close enough for it not to matter swapping them. I would. The ring gaps are mainly what is set up individually.
