Another lost guy building junkyard lq4

Ok fellas building a lq4 currently factory and this is what I'm planning to do with. Ls6 stage 5 heads port and polished with magic stick 4 cam with the appropriate pushrods and springs. Staying with the truck intake and throwing on a set of cheap headers . Wanting to pull as much as I can out of this gal as I can without breaking the bank to bad or tearing down the bottom end. My question is is this the best way to spend my money. I was just going to deck port polish the 317 heads and run the same cam but that would require fly cutting the pistons which I'm not to savy on doing so to raise the compression I fig the ls6 65cc heads would bump it up to 10:1- 10:2 ish? From my current 9:5? Any advice would be help full

First things first what are you planning on using the car for? Track only, Street, or a combination of both?
