Another Cam Question

I own a 2001 SS Camaro. I know there is a difference in the cams from the 1998 LS1 and the 2001 LS1, right? If so what is the difference? Would it be worth my time to put a 1998 stock Corvette LS1 cam in my 2001 Camaro SS LS1? Would I see more ponies? Anything I might need to change to make it function correctly/give me more more ponies?

1998 - 2000 Fbody
202/210 int/exh @ 0.05" duration
0.496" / 0.496" int/exh lift
116 LSA

2001 - 2002 Fbody
197/207 int/exh @ 0.05" duration
0.467" / 0.479" int/exh lift
116 LSA

you just won't get anything out of it. here' the LS6 cam
2001 LS6 cam
207/217 int/exh @ 0.05" duration
0.525" / 0.525" int/exh lift
116 LSA

it's more in the heads and intake, than the cam, where the Z06 got it's power from.

yeah, it's just not worth the trouble.

i know, i'm just lazy. have to fit the dimensions as well. plus, i'm not sure if i can add two banners. have to consult with ed.

So the LS6 cam will give me more or judt go with a after market? I wont get anything out of the 98 Vette cam at all, or so little it wont make a difference?

nothing with the 98 vette cam, and little out of the LS6 cam. just go aftermarket.
