Our cars are naturally loud I have heard some people change oils quiet it down some. A local went to amsoil and apparently it quieted down. I'm guessing something you hadn't noticed before?

If its that loud i wouldnt drive it much till you figure out what the problem is, could end up doing somthing to damage the motor......you shoud pop off the valve covers and check all the pushrods. someone could have over reved the car and bent one or a few of them, pushrods make a pretty loud constant tick when one is bent. they are also an easy and fairly cheap fix.....

also your oil pressure seems a little low, i have 135k on my car and it never drops bellow 30 psi......have you ever seafoamed the car, if not, try it, its good stuff.

thanks for the in put i drove it to work last night down state street. pressure never went below 40 i was wondering if one of the kids or a tech drove it after oil change. and over reved it are the roller rockers adjustable. and it there a way to run it with valve covers off. maybe just coil packs lay on top.

well as far as running it with the valve covers off, idk?? i wouldnt do it but maybe someone else can help you on that. For the pushrods just pop the valve covers off and loosen each rocker and then roll each pushrod across a (even/level) glass table. If the pushrod doesnt roll perfectly straight, its bent. I would replace all of them if you find one thats bent.

It's the stock LS1 lifters. They are noisy. Switch to LS7's and the noise is gone.

Changed all the push rods this weekend, took 4 hours, the only pain was the rear coil pack bolt on the left rear side, NAPA had stock pushrods for under 80 bucks but opted for Texas Speed hardened rods of just over 100 bucks. A pretty cheap fix for what could turn into a more costly problem.
