if you want to drop the coin for them go for it. there are other brands of heads that yield within 5rwhp of those AFR's for about 1/2 that, even then selecting the right cam will get you that 5rwhp back...

cant really help you out all that much since we dont know what you have done 'mod' wise to your car...

your best bet is to call Tony Mamo at AFR and talk to him directly. he would be able to point you in the right direction for whatever the goals are for your car...

If you are just talkingabout the heads. AFR's are the best period. But as the former poster said. there are other companies that offer heads that are within a few horsepower of the AFR'S for cheaper. Summit offers Patriot Performance heads assembled for $1,010 for the pair. That is 2.02's and cost over a thousand less and come with double springs, which if you go with a radical came you will probabley need anyways.

It's not cheap. The heads themselves are exspensive and I think you have to use special rockers with em. For a head/cam 346 I'd use the AFRs personally.

They cost the same as PRC heads, I'd go with PRC.

Not many 8 sec ls1's out there. Race only is a big difference. Most 8-9 sec cars I know run ETP or AFR's.

Where the AFR's shine is in the area under the curve. Low RMP, Partial throttle and throttle response. I gained 40+rwhp & 30+rwtq with my AFR heads.
