799 or ss 243? hmmm

So I found a set of 799 heads for sale 400 never installed on an engine... claimed. But I've also found a set of 243 and! Cam shaft from a as trail blazer same price maybe farther drive. What should I hit on? I was leaning towards the 243 and cam but Idk where I wanna go cam wise. Any professional input is appreciated.

They are actually pretty much the same head. I have 243s but the 799s are good too. I would do which ever is a better deal unless the 243s are from a z06 and have the sodium filled valves.

No the 243s are from a ls2 trail blazer and come with the stock cam same price though.

If it's the stock LS2 cam then it's not worth getting it. Get the better looking set.

ok so say i was porting them any way. that and the 799's look like they are a scam no number no city idk. i was just wondering if it was the same set of heads cause that is what i hear. the differences are minor.

Sounds like you are looking at Craigslist? If there isn't any contact info with a phone number where I can just pick up the phone and talk to someone, and they aren't within a driving distance that you're willing to drive,,,,then I'd just move on.

Well I managed to find the add again it did have a number and I found the location of the 799s the 243 guy said he sold the whole motor already so it looks like the ls1 god decided for me 799s it is now I just need them ported and a cam and I'm all set. Thanks for the help guys.
