3.8V6 3800 Engine - Strong Gas smell when parked in garage
What would be the contributing factors of strong gas vapors when vehicle parked in garage?
How does one know when the fuel pressure regulator has served it's time?
Being I have (2) '99 Firebirds with the same issue and one at 55K one at 71K it would seem odd a "worn" fuel pressure regulator would cause such.
No visual leaks, smell originates from underhood area.

Light a match under the hood to check if the vapors are flameable... LOL! SERIOUSLY DONT, i would check the fittings where the fuel lines connect to the fuel rail, also i would check around the fuel filter. Did you have a blowout or anything get caught up in the drivers side fender well? the fuel lines are behind the plastic cover... would check it all out, dont drive the car with a leak or smell of gas...
