241s to stock 243s.... worth it?

Is it worth the time to swap my 241s to 243s? I have an MS3 cam right now in it will I have any issues with clearances? An I'm getting them for 400$ an only have 27k on them... I plan on porting an polishing them while they r off the car.. Any HP/tq #s would be nice or track times

Unless the 243's have been decked, ptv clearance should be o.k.,but the only way to be sure is measure.

For $400,it's definately worth your time to swap the 241's for the 243's

The combustion chamber's are smaller on 243's,by about 3 cc's.

I run a Ms4 with 243's with no ptv clearance issues. Texas speed is going to tell you to measure. Chances are you will be fine...but measure to be sure, especially if the heads were milled.

Well Chevy thought it was worth swapping 241's for 243's lol

And I think $400 is a great price for 243's with 27k on them

You can make great power with 243's

stock 243's over stock 241's all day long. its a better flowing casting. a touch up on the tune will get the most power out of the swap. any internal engine mods should be followed up with a quality tune asap.

    243 heads

you can at times pick up some power using the 243's over the 241 heads

243's win majority of the time when compared to 241's.
