114 lsa vs. 112 lsa on an Auto
I'm trying to decide if I should go with a 114 lsa or 112 lsa on the cam I'm getting. Specs are 236/242 .580/.590. The car is an auto and will have Vig 3600 and 4.10's installed. Other mods include 243 heads, 1 3/4 headers, catted 3" y through magnamouth exhaust, ls6 intake, p&p tb, lid, and U/D pulley. I know people usually like the 114 lsa's for auto cars but would there really be a power difference between the 2. If 2 identical cars lined up at the track with the above mods but with a 112 in one car and a 114 in the other, who whould win? I'm 95% sure I'm going with the 114 but I want to be sure I'm not leaving anything on the table. Opinions?

Ebay (fresh copy) cam I take it ?
I'm running a 112lsa cam in my goat with a 3,800 stall, but, its smaller then the one your looking at. with the 236/242 I'd go 114lsa....should have about the same overlap as a small cam on a 112lsa

112 vs 114
the less lsa you have the more power you have 112 and 114 is almost the same just chopey idel , now if you go with and 11o it have more power put wont be good for a daily driver race only , 114 give you a better idel than the 112 , i have a 231/237/ 585-595-112 cam in my auto with 3200stalle
411 gear , 400 hp at rear wheel 395 tq

if i remember correctly the 112 lsa will put the power band a little bit lower on the rpms vs the 114. i highly doubt it would be a drastic difference though.

With that Vigalante 3600/4.10 gears in there you should be fine on a 112. I would suggest you run a 3.73 instead of the 4.10s.
