yeah, quite a bit. had an 04 IMP SS prior to this. the hawk is probably the fastest car i've owned since my 455 olds cutlass. i let my brother in-law drive it, and he's a cop. said pretty much the same. but he had to throw that warning about not having my front plate on. thanks all to the comp's and welcome.
this could be fun. mod's already started.

Hey, nice 'hawk. It looks like the bottom of your passenger side fender has been popped out. Hard to be sure from the pic. I had a 2000 formula that i took to the tire shop once and when I got the car back my fender looked like yours. Alot of morons at auto shops see the lip under the fender and assume that's the jacking point when it's not. I've seen alot of f-bodies like this which can mean only one thing--HELLUVA LOTA MORONS OUT THERE!

you are correct sir. they're popped on both sides, with that one being the worst. there's also a crimp in the rear, where someone used the stock jack.
i'd have to agree on that statement on some inexperienced shop help, and/ or previous owner. seems odd that the last owner traded it in on a new vette, you would've thought that he could've taken better care of it. now,do i fix it myself, or take it in?Last edited by sswagon1; 05-31-2006 at 07:31 PM.

regarding your previous owner statement. to some people a car is just a car, don't matter if it's a firehawk, a vette, or even a viper. i used to work with a guy who bought a firehawk new back in '01 and by '02 it looked like it had been put through hell. also, i can tell you how i fixed my fenders. take a pair of channel locks and bend the lip under the fender in the the opposite direction of the bend. that should snug the fender up back in line with the rocker panel. make sure you bend slowly or you could screw up the lip.

that's what i figured. didn't want to take a chance without some opinions first. might try it with a wide jaw, to distribute the load better. thanks for the tip.
