Black- 2000 WS6
New to this forum and my car.
Bought a 2000 WS6 automatic about a month ago. Black on black leather with t-tops and 17" chrome rims. Has 47,000 miles on it now. This is my 4th F-body. I've owned a 91 Firebird 5.0L TBI (big turd but was unkillable), 97 Formula 6 speed (very nice and fast but too much money at the time), 95 Z28 (purchased with body damage and blown head gasket. Put a low mileage engine in it and tortured to 190,000 before selling it off), and now my WS6 (seems less grunty taking off than the LT1's but really pulls hard the more RPMs you let it have). It looks like a person in their 40's had the car b4 me. Very little wear anywhere and the radio had all easy-listening and country stations preset. It looks like it has aftermarket exhaust (heavy gauge metal muffler with welded seams) looks like a flowmaster but doesn't have that stamped into it. Do WS6's have this muffler from the factory? Someone has put a K&N in it and cut out the airbox bottom already. I chopped off the EGR tube even as shown in some of the free mod posts here. I've seen a lot of different opinions on "lids". I like the clear MTI the best but if there is something else out there that blows it away then I want to get it. Are they all pretty close or should I get one in particular? I also read about other free mods that could possibly cause an SES light like descreening the MAF for example. Any thoughts on free or less than $200 mods that will not affect driveability or looking at an engine light all the time. My 95 Z had an engine light all the time after gutting all the emissions and it got 13mpg all the time as well. Not interested in going that route again lol. Thanks for any input guys. I'll put up some pics soon.

Custom Slate Blue- 99 B4C
welcome, good choice of car. Choose a lid based on what looks good, they are all so close in performance that it's better to just choose on looks. I have an MTI clear lid and I love it
