The mods are 3.4 pulley, computer, cold air, res and U-Bend delete, 180*thermostat

runs 9.03 @ 79mph with a 2.15 60ft in the 1/8th mile

My wife had a 99 and I was in love with that car. Best family car ever. Great gas mileage, 4 door, all the options, and when you wanted to pass someone you passed them. All that and I only had 1 problem with the car in 130k miles. Shifter lockout. I tried to talk her into an 05 when we got rid of it but she wanted an SUV. She periodically whines about not buying another one. I think after the SUV we'll be going back to a W.

good luck with that. you had better dump the SUV off within the next year. GM has already said that both the Monte Carlo and Grand Prix will be done as of either 2007 or 2008.

the GP will be replaced with the new G8 rwd or awd sedan...check it out it's actually an incredible car.

and i'm assuming that the replacement for the MC will be the Camaro as it is a coupe and the MC just got the v8 as it's SS model just as the Camaro will have a v8 in its SS model.

as for the Impala i believe that it is staying around in current form but about a year after the new G8 is introduced it will get a rwd makeover.
