The car runs great and is a blast to drive. The six speed paired with the LS1 makes for a very quick car. No track time yet but I imagine 12 something. This car, originally a flame red RS 6 cylinder, has been a project this past year while my son was in Iraq. I am very happy to say I gave him the keys to his "new" car 3 days ago as he is now safely back in Arizona. It has a fourth generation interior which makes it even more of a joy to drive. My son chose the candy apple red for the new paint scheme and it was his idea to remove all the badges for the clean look.

Congrats, Dave on the beautiful restore/mod job on the car and for having your son home safe and sound and I am sure very happy with his Candy Apple car as well!

No. This one is actually not rusted out.

I just don't find that WS.6 style hood working on ANY other cars besides the WS.6 T/A's.
The lines just don't match up to me.

Thanks for the compliments. Yes, "Hawks" is Bruce Hawkins, owner of Hawks 3rd Gen Parts in South Carolina. He provided a lot parts and information last year.

    06 PBM GTO(458WHP)SOLD!!
    06 TR GTO~476WHP 425TRQ

Is a very nice 3rd Gen. Not partial to the hood either but to each his own bud. As long as it looks the way you want it then its all good.

And #14 would look SICK with the windshield blacked and the people in the background blacked as well!
