    using this setup as an example (not that he's seen any issues with his setup), the front intake ducting, being aluminum, would absorb all the ambient heat in the engine compartment and actually hurt performance by heating up the incoming air. Basically soaking up the heat. A plastic setup wouldn't have that issue 'cos it absorbs and holds in less heat and can cool down faster. That's the reason I hate the BBK aluminum intakes.

    Yeh that's all fine and dandy and I could see how we would think this would happen. But can we TRULY tell a difference in performance if this happens......or is this just about as pointless as the throttle body bypass

    yup ... marginal in a street car/butt dyno but def. will show it on the dyno and on power adder cars.
