My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
Cool pic i've been working on
I recently bought a new camera. I've finally broke into the Digital SLR world and i have to say, i'll never turn back. This is from a Sony A300, 10.4 mpx. I wish I had a lot more exposure on the front clip but i didn't get out before sunset and was screwed for light.

if you can get in that same spot and get the susnet light going across the side of the car and the ram air scoops that will be awesome!

I think it boils down to being under the light, but keeping the light source out of the shot.

it was that stupid turning the clocks back BS. I would have had ample ambient light enough to illuminate the front clip and hood cowls had the sun not set at freakin 5:30
Lous...that pic is horrid...blue tires FTL !

Could always turn the car into the light instead of away from it.....

Thanks!
I got several pics from there yesterday on the TTII's. Was hurried a little though.
Probably go back at night sometime soon.

you should try doing some HDR of a shot like this with a couple of the pics wtih the foglights on and a couple with them off to see how it turns out. Im thinking it should make the lights look like they're glowing but not really on. might be cool. might be retarded! lol

you think you're telling me something new, bud? That's how i do all my shots =) Each image is comprised of 3-4 images.
lights off, long exposure
lights off, short exposure
lighes off, flash exposure
lights on, short exposure
lights on, long exposure
lights on, flash exposure
photoshop the hell out of them and then get a massage b/c my neck/shoulder is cramped.
This is why i advocate shooting @ sun down, not at night. The ambient light at sundown is just enough to provide shadow detail and lights aren't over exposed

cool cool, another trick ive always wanted to do is have a remote flash inside the car and mix a couple of those in the HDR. The last batch of sunset pics I did I wanted to do in HDR but when i took them it was only 7 degrees out and I couldnt feel my fingers touching the buttons on the camera! lol
