98Z After the track
Took a few pics of my Z28 on the way home from the track a few weeks ago. It's about 30 minutes from where I live here in Charlotte, so I drive there with the DR's on. BTW, it looks bone stock from the outside with the exception of the brakes. Pics were taken with my camera phone, enjoy!
Well, I'm an idiot and can't figure out how to post the photos, so here's a link to a webshots album:

All the pictures except for the night one were taken with my phone. The night picture was taken by a friend of mine after a cruise-in. I mainly took the pictures to test out the quality of the camera, especially when zoomed

Thanks, I like it. As far as the color, yes it is original, and I beleive they only used it on 1998 cars, and a limited number at that. It's called "mystic teal". The only other car I've seen in that color was an auto V6 with gray cloth interior. With the options my car has (LS1, leather interior, M6) I've been told it's fairly rare.
The runs were not so good, I'm not used to these tires, I'm used to my KDWS's that I really had to baby off the line. My best was an 8.713 @83.497 mph. The tires are Nitto NT555R's for those of you that can't tell by the tread pattern . I'll update my sig and list mods
EDIT: Correction, mystic teal was not a 1998 only color (what was I thinking?) but it is rare. Less than 5% of all camaros were teal, and there was only 1 teal SS and it was a 'vert. There were 474 Mystic coupe Z28's made in 1998, most of which were autos with cloth interior.

Well, on my way back from Raleigh, I saw a girl driving a Z28 the same year/color as mine. T-tops too. It was an auto with gray cloth interior though, and it was in rough shape. She had Connecticut (sp?) plates on it, and it was REALLY REALLY dirty.

Nice ride Dude. Were you out rock collecting with your tires again?
My wife has a 98' Mystic Teal Formula and daughter just got a 99' V6 bird in same color also . Both chrome wheeled T-tops so both cars look identical.
But when you start them up you know the difference then.If it doesn't require Premium fuel ,You got the wrong Model.

0to60: Thats how I like it. I'm gonna keep this thing looking bone stock from the outside. The Z28 badges are hard to see since the color is so dark, and a lot of people think it's a six. Until they hear it, or see it fly by them
