Black- 2002 SS Camaro
10spokeSS Ride
Yes I know this thread was inspired by all the other build threads but I figured why not I will join in cause I just changed some things
Ill introduce my thread with saying that I got this car when I was 17 because I wreaked my Cobalt SS. I was not at fault for the accident, and I really just wanted another Cobalt. But my dad gave me a killer deal which I payed my own money to him to buy the car off of him. Its been a great 3 years with my car and I can't wait to pass it on to my son when the time comes (when I have one)
At my college
new fogs
they look pretty good to me
I can't believe I never thought to polish the lights to make them look better
They were bad
After using mothers powerball polishing and restoring kit
After completed
I will be updating the page within the next day or two because I just installed solid motor mounts and then my sub frame connectors should be coming in the mail soon.

Black- 2002 SS Camaro
I forgot to get an actual picture of the motor mount so I will go do that today after work but here is a during picture for the install
Got the old clam shell out and damn that mount is done.
I finally had the time to fix my fender and now it doesn't stick out anymore. Looks tight
I took the time to clay bar the car as well

Good idea on doing this.
Sad about the cobalt & the accident.
But glad your ok.
Cobalts are nice. But camaros are better lol
What plans you got for your SS??
Any mods?
On passing it on to your son, that's something I'll be doing too lol

Black- 2002 SS Camaro
Well for my 4th year reunion which is January 25th of 2012 I will be taking it to a local performance shop where my buddies work and they will be installing a complete new power train which is why I am getting all the suspension parts and supporting mods done now before it goes for it's overhaul. My goal is around 500 crank 450 Wheel horsepower and to be in the 125 mile per hour club before spray. OH an I am going to be buying another SS cobalt for when my Camaro goes under the knife

Today I ordered a Strut tower brace so I can take off my front sway bar to get the car to squat better in the quarter mile

What performance shop do your buddies work at? I'm in Crofton Md. Car looks good, I'd put a grille on it tho. I like the look of no grille if a body shop fills in the little holes. That strut brace won't help you at the track. I took my front sway bar off years ago.

I just got the strut tower brace to accommodate for not having a front sway bar. Because until I get another daily driver I still like to go around turns and such. But their shop is in glen Bernie and I don't know if we are allowed to say their name cause they are non sponsors

Black- 2002 SS Camaro
Today I finally broke down and bought a K&N drop in filter and so far I haven't felt any difference but supposedly there is like 5+ hp in it. I just got it so I can stop buying airfilters every time I change my oil. Yeah and I also changed my oil filter

Ya I know those guys. They definaetely know how to make these cars go fast. Steve and Wayne have worked on my car before. I have a K&N panel filter you could have had cheap. I haven't used it in years. Kinda nice to have two so you can put in a fresh one when it needs cleaning and clean the dirty one at your leisure.

I appriciate the offer but I'm fine for now I don't plan on cleaning it until my next oil change and since I am going back to school that won't be until next summer. Car is going into storage on august 15th and will see daylight when they go to rebuild the motor and transmission this winter. Then next summer will be amazing lol
