    Hmmm, 2000 I want to say is 3.23 but don't quote me. 3.73s is a common choice, 4.10s for the more serious drivers. You'll lose some fuel economy during highway driving either way, moreso obviously with the 4.10s.

    Do you have an auto or manual? Look in your glove box and find the code that say GU and a number.

    Rear end Gear codes are as follows:

    GU4=3.08 auto
    GU5=3.23 manual
    GU6=3.42 both

    As far as a good gear, What do you want the car for.

    Track= 4.10's

    Street and Track= 3.73's

    Mostly street, just wanna have a little fun= 3.42's

    These are just my opinions.

    get a rearend bolt before putting 3:73 in a stock 10 bolt. if you track it often you'll need a 12 bolt rear end since the stock on will give up eventually. actually the stock bolt as I heard from many member on here, whines and leaks even if you don't track it as well. Also the 3:73 gears for 10 stock bolt do not match the 12 bolt.
    I'd say spend the 2k for a new 12 bolt now then put in 3:73 gears. in case you need to upgrade to 12 bolt a bit later you don't wanna waste the 400 bucks on gears.

    I assume the same story follows for v6 vs v8... I just saw you have a V6 so I think the same applies.
