Keep the weight or weight reduction?

Me and my friend were debating due to me taking out some extras out of the trunk like spare tire and speakers ect. out of the trunk and use it for weight reduction. I have lots of weight reduction here and there and starting to feel the effect. Since the camaro is rwd my friend says it could use the extra weight in the back to get better traction but the way i see it is it would have a little bit more power and less gas milage, opinions anybody?

You can just relocate the battery to the back. you wouldn't gain any weight overall but you would put more on the back and take some off the front.

toying around with springs will change your front/rear weight ratio. take off whatever you want and then worry about balancing it
