    Daily Driver got Rear Ended

On my way home from work last night and was sitting at a light, a new Mustang pulled in behind me and a was hit from behind by a girl driving a Ford Focus which forced him into Rear ending me. the Mustang driver was a young mexican guy who didnt speak any english, had no DL and no Insurance. The girl who caused the accident had insurance and I made a claim last night. My car was my Daily Driver a 97 v6 firebird with about 110K miles on it. I drove it home, but when i checked it out this morning, I can see both rear quarter panels are crumpled up and the body is rubbing the Rear Wheel on the driver side. What are the chances they will total it? Any idea what I should expect?

Since it's a high mileage 97 v6 they will likely total it..

Check the blue book on a mint condition 97 v6 bird..

likely repairs will exceed that value..

    Sucks man..

With the quarters looking like that consider it totaled. Everything gets tweaked when the quarters crumble like that

They totaled it, I'm waiting on a call with an offer from their insurance company. I plan on buying it back and keep on using it to drive to work. The body is rubbing the tire slightly on the rear left , but I believe I can put a chain on it and pull it out a bit. Other than that, it drives fine.

It's going to leak really bad and never line up properly. I had that happen to mine and with that kind of impact it shifted your trunk hatch and ttops so be prepaired for water damage. Oh and once water gets in there and it gets hot it'll start to smell like a litter box cause the jute under the carpet will mildew. Sucks that it happened but I wouldn't want it back knowing those problems were ahead.

Well, I got a nice check for the car and they let me keep it for 600 bucks. I figure its worth just in the parts I can swap over to my TA, T-tops, interior trim etc. It still runs good so I'll drive it to work and use it as a backup car.
