    clutch problem, help please!

i have a 1993 v6 camaro and my clutch basically went to hell becuase of old age and a couple clutch dumps here and there so i decided to replace it.

well i spent all weekend taking it apart and replacing it and putting it back together. got it back together and theres basically no pedal. its like the clutch isnt disengaging. you can start the car when its in neutral but you cannot start it when its in gear, both with the clutch pedal in.

i tried bleeding the system, and a small amount of air came out but still nothing. maybe im missing something but is there an adjustment screw or something somwhere?

    anybody have any ideas?

any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

bleed the clutch, check if you're missing anything when you put it back together

well i went and worked on it some more last night. i turned the car on and had a friend move the swivel arm the moves the release bearing and the car shifted in and out of gear just fine like it was supposed to. this tells me that the slave cylinder doesnt have enough pressure to move the release arm. ive bled the whole system 2 times now and i cant seem to get any more pressure out of it.

also, after i did the above test, i noticed the clutch pedal get slightly more heavy.

i think i may need to replace the master/slave cylinder

On the 1993 - 97 LT1's and V6's, the slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder are not serviceable, nor are they available as individual parts.

When one of these components wears out, you have to buy a new "Cylinder, Clutch Master and Actuator (slave)" system, which should be GM pn 12557509 (Same pn for 1993 LT1 cars) for your car. This component is sealed and pre-bled.

Please note that GM also changes part numbers every once in a while.
The number above is for the "first design".
On 1995 V6 and 1995-97 LT1 cars, the part number is 12559912 (the "second design)
