    Question 3.8 speeds

    hey im just wonderin what the top end on the 3.8L camaros and bird is? anybody kno or have a site i can look at?? and im talkin stock no mods at all?

    118 on the speed limiter. Otherwise around 130-135ish probably.

    a tuner or a handheld programmer can turn it off or change it.

    yes, you change the limiter on both V6 and V8 the same way. thought the CPU

    well there are limiters on ones with non Z-rated factory tires.

    i have had the RS up past the 125 on the speedo. idk if that was a true reading or not.

    Those 3.8s have a harder fight against momentum up top but they eventually get it rolling.

    It really depends what gears you have to figure your actual top speed when the limiter is programmed out. With the Y87 package, on A4, the 3.42s will get you to about 130-135, but with 3.08s you can get past that, probably 140+, it just takes longer to get there.

    you dont fight against momentum, momentum is in the direction of travel, your car fights against wind / air resistance

    hahaha, that lil bit of wind doesn't even count, hahaha, I'd say its momentum because it has to get more of it to get going, fighting against wind would only be to maintain the speed at which the fight begins. Think about it fighting against wind... The wind only gets stronger. At a speed that you're fighting wind, you're pretty much done.

    i have a GTP 3.8 supercharged and i topped out a 143mph that shouldn't help you out, but i just wanted share lol
