    3.8 misfire

I have a 1997 Camaro RS, i plugged in my friends hand held computer. It says that I have a cylender one missfire. I was wondering what would cause this, and how i can fix it.

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

Check your coil pack first. Then plugs and wires. If you have some one with a spark tester your problems will be easy to find. I had the same problem last month and found out it was the coil. I did read that due to underhood temperature for the 3.8s that the wires are short lived. How many miles on your 6? If more than 50k you may want a tune up anyway.

Swap plugs then wires with cylinder 3 to see if the problem moves. This will narrow down where the problem could be.
