I am not 100% on this, but the traction control equipped cars may have dual circuit rear brakes while the non-traction control cars do not. Someone please verify this... it is an educated guess.

4 channel has sensors that mount at the ends of each axle in the backing plate. 3 channel has a sensor on top of the differential, and nothing out at the axle ends. In the pic, you can see the black wire loom running along the back of the axle tubes -- that is the harness for the sensors (Note: rear is a 12 bolt and will look a bit different than stock):

after doing my rear brakes i do believe i have a 3 channel rear end. Which would hav eme believe that i dont have traction control in the rear. I would also guess this since i don t have the traction control switch in car
