What struts are best for my setup???
I have an 00' vert, just lowered with the eibach prokit. What struts should I replace the stocks with?
KYB adjustble AGX, or the revalved Bilstiens from SLP???
Any other suggestions under $500?
Any input is greatly appreciated - Thanks

Also, what is the advantage of having adjustable shocks?

You have shocks all the way around. I've hear the bilsteins are decent, but I don't know if I'd get them from SLP, I've give Strano a call about them.

triple-black- 2000 CamaroSS convertible
i would go with neither of those 2 choices.
revalved bistein from strano will give you a way better job @ doing the job right.
don't remember the price, though.Eugenio_SS

I do sell Bilstein's. I sold a set for a truck the other day..... I have a hard time selling the Bilstein's for these cars for a few reasons, not the least of which are they aren't readily available *AND* they went and messed them all up about 2 years ago or so.
At this point, for "performance" use like lowering, tracking or when the person wants the ability to tune and when Koni's are not possible (for whatever reason), I'm using AGX's. For those looking for simple, less costly, not adjustment, etc. I'm using more Tokico's. I really wish that Bilstein had not messed up, but IMHO they did. So while I still can sell Bilstein and continue to do so when appropriate, I don't feel they are so hot for 4th gens these days.Sam Strano

The fronts have been the out of stock problem all along.... too bad the rear shocks are the ones they royally messed up. I'm sorry, but any shock that was changed to mimick the stock DeCarbon rear shocks is not a shock that I'd want to run. What's the point of paying good money.
Now, many folks feel Summit is the cat's ass, and that's fine. And many think the name Bilstein automatically means it's a great damper and that's fine. I can't change your thinking about about number one if you are inclined to the Wal-mart type performance shops, but I can try and educate folks about shocks, how they work, and that the name Bilstein is no more a guarantee of "great" than any other name brand. Generally quite good, used to be an excellent driving shock for pretty stock cars, but were never proper for lowering springs. And now since the "change" I don't hold them in very high regard for the 4th gen anymore.
Too little rebound damping, too much compression in the rear. Too little compression in the front. But hey.... if you guys want to buy on name alone that's your business

I never said Summit was anything-all I said was they had the shocks in stock when I called about them.
I took your advise on the last thread about shocks and did not order Bilsteins. I am saving up for Konis and your springs.
Sam- I also wanted to ask you -is Brooksville near State College? I used to spend my summers up there. I really like that area.Last edited by LETHALxLS1; 03-04-2008 at 10:16 AM.

well... I guess the consensus is to go with the Koni's. I'll just have to save a bit longer.
Thanks guys

I still have a question about the adjustment though. As I am lowered on Eibach Pro's, what setting should I use on the Koni's? I would imagine the lower one? (sorry, if this is a dumb question, I'm just starting to learn about suspension)

I didn't mean to imply that any one specifc person in this thread was in love with Summit or Bilstein, simply pointing out it does happen, and to be cautious.
Brookville is about 90 miles west of State College, out here in the woods.

I guess the setting you choose depends on what you want out of the car. Is it a daily driver that needs a softer ride?, do you drive on road courses with it?, do you want a street car that can handle twisties and feel like its on rails at 100+ around turns? etc. etc. etc.........

I don't mind a rougher ride, but I don't want brusies on my ass either. I'm looking for high speed handling [a street car that can handle twisties and feel like its on rails at 100+ around turns]
