wanting to go higher not lower and have a few question

97 Ta making about 400 at the wheels.

Hooker super comp long tubes keep me draggin

Have about 3-3 1/2" of ground clearance

Willing to drop upto $2k on suspension. I have stock suspension minus the boxed rear lower control arms.

Wanting to raise the car 2" by way of air or coilovers.

Prefer air as I won't have to crawl on the ground to change height.

Also worried about pinion angle. If i raised the car 2" for everyday driving and dropped 2" below stock at the track what would the ideal pinion angle be?

    Tia for any ideas!!!

I installed air rides (cylinders, not bags) on my son's Civic del sol. The ride is very comfortable and fun. It definitely changes the geometry of the wheels, but only near full height and full lowering. He has been driving on them for a year and the tires are wearing evenly.

After we upgraded the engine to a B16 DOHC V-Tec it doesn't feel stable when he gets on it.

I'd go with coil-overs between the two.

damnit posted this huge post last nite and it's not here.

After looking around all day I have three options

hal front shocks with 1" of shock spacers to raise the front 1" with rear air bag spring helpers and new shocks like kyb

hal shocks with 1" spacers up front and rear spring bucket spacer to lift car 1"-3" and some new rear shocks like kyb

air ride front struts and rear air springs with an ArnottĀ® Quad Air Ride Suspension Control II or the air ride econo 4wheel system
