Torque Arm Relocation Bracket?
What exactly does the toraue arm relocation bracket do? i know it takes the load off the rear tailshaft, but what exactly does that mean? I think i have a broken trans mount and i am conteplating just getting the relocation kit for better strength, but i really dont know much about it. Any help from those who have 1 or those who know about them would b great, thanks.

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
it moves it off the trans. what the brackets do with a adj. torque arm is alow you to center your rear and you dont run the risk of breaking/cracking the trans housing. they move the torque arm to a more efficent area where it will be able to do its job a lil better. but you need a adj t-arm if you get the relocation kit. hope this helps.

Also, how do adjust ur t/a bracket and t/a? I mean, what angles does this stuff have to be set at to get the most out of your car?

there are a couple designs out there.
spohn has this version that includes a driveshaft loop welded onto the trans crossmember

bmr has two ways to do this as well
this one takes the arm off the transmission and allows you to adjust the instant center. this can be good for braking as well as acceleration. can be used with stock arm, or any aftermarket arm that would normally hook to the transmission.

this one comes with a crossbrace that you would weld to the car. preferably to subframe connectors. it's shorter than the stock arm which changes the instant center. downside is running true duals will be a problem.

other manufacturers make just about the same thing.Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers

Pewter metallic- 2000 Camaro SS
I know if you have a lowered stance, you want to avoid the Spohn relocation kit like the plague. There have been a lot of posts and issues with it on tech, people have posted pics of it, and if you have any kind of drop, you will drag the relocation kit.

triple-black- 2000 CamaroSS convertible
the bmr version is great for acceleration only... not braking... the short version of TA will creat massive wheel-hop on braking.
There is a design which is better, but has its price... it's the UE (unbalanced-engineering) version
http://www.unbalancedengineering.com/Camaro/
This TA actually acts as a short one during acceleration and very long one while braking... imho, WAY better than what BMR offers, but @ a price.Eugenio_SS
almost stock triple-black 2000 SS convertible with 17x11s on all 4 w/ 315s at the track or on the street with 18x10.5s on all 4 w/ 315s: (1), (2)

i help a friend install the UE in his 98 z28. for someone autocrossing and such, it is a great one to have. you have to drill into your floorpan to install it. and it's real fun getting the right adjustment.
can't say i ever experienced any braking isuues.
