    would this mod help my rear end when I have 420 rwhp and a 50 shot of nitrious for a 2000 camaro ss

    A torque arm is going to help you to achieve better 60' times and with launching. I am not sure what you mean by helping with your rearend though?

    Quite the opposite ... Hope you have a handle on what your trying to do. 420 rwhp with a 50 shot is nothing to sneeze at and can result in a quick trip into the wall for the uninitiated.

    He is correct.

    With that much power and upgraded suspension you will allow your differential to put more of that power to the ground. That will produce MORE stress on your rear end. Look around there are some good talks of how a torque arm and suspension geometry works to your advantage.

    Stock torque arm flexes more and would most likely be easier on your rear end.

    no, it doesn't strengthen the housing.
