Suspension and wheel studs
Early this march i snapped all 5 axel studs on the back passenger side, I wanted to convert to the racing studs that are stronger and more sturdy but they were on back order for 4 weeks. I know want to get them again and I was wondering how much a pain in the ass it would be to do? also I have chrome z06 wheels, should I put my stockers on when i go to the track? They have no tread but im thinking something relatively small for the front and get some nittos for the rears? yes or no on that one?
also im a bit confused do you need one of two torque arms? I asked a guy on thunder racing if they sold them in sets of two and he said no you only need one is he crazy?

One torque arm.
Replacing the stock size studs can be done with the axles in place.
If you go longer, the axles need pulled out.
How did you snap all 5?? Lugs not tightened properly at a shop or something?

Disclaimer: I just bought the car and was literally driving home, I never got a chance to peel the wheels off.
I just bought the car and was by my sub and i wanted to give it a little punch and I had track tires on it at the time (m/ts 24's) but I gave it a punch and i heard a snap and my tranny kinda bogged and i thought i blew that at first but then i see all 5 lugs shooting off the tire. pulled over and it was bad! I was extremely pissed bc the kid i bought it from was an idiot and he was running w 1 in wheel spacers on a drag car!!!! not to good there! luckily i barely got up any speed and the wheels were so big the wheel well held the wheel in and I just needed new studs. could have been a lot worse and i could have needed a new rotor caliper axel even

Yeah...that could have been nasty.
Stock studs are fairly good. Granted, they aren't as strong as ARP's or anything, but they held me just fine when I raced them.
I have since gone with wheels that require a very long stud, so I upgraded.

That would've sucked. The day you buy your car your studs snap. Not just on but all five. Tough luck man.
