Welcome to the site. BMR or UMI are both very good products. I got the BMR boxed design and they ran about $150. UMI is about the same.

I got UMI 3 point bolt ins. not so keen on welding things to my car permanently just yet. At least with the bolt ins I will always have the option of welding them in the future. The improvement in ride quality is apparent immediately. The shaky quaky nature of our cars is greatly reduced to the point where the car begins to actually feel "solid" So far i'd say they have been worth every penny spent.

I went with the UMI 2 point bolt ins. Very happy with the ease of install, build quality and fit.

I can get the UMI or BMR ones. I have the UMI ones on mine.
I can help you if you want.
Thanks,
Mark

I'm a UMI guy, more choices and never any issue with anything I sell of theirs. I have UMI stuff on my car, and sell a lot of it--and I don't sell what I won't use.

Difference between 2 point and 3 point?
-
08-18-2009, 07:55 PM #11
The 2 points have just a front and rear connecting point. the 3 have a leg going to the center of the car.
here is the two point

here is the three point

Basically 3 pts. are 2's with some triangulated bracing that runs to the tunnel mount point added. EXTREMELY wise to go with if you are ever planning on a tunnel mounted TA.....

Thx for the replies and info. I tried ky speed-no ph#. Strano-you did return my call, but a day after. You were probably busy, although I was going to order from you. My son was going to be visiting from the army this weekend and I needed a set so he and I could install before he left on Sat. Had to use s----t. Thanks all!

I'm sorry that I couldn't help. It's hell being busy, sometimes I'm a victim of success...

Most notice a difference, some say it's huge. Some don't notice a lot. But they are no bad thing.
Really it comes down to how old the car is, and how good the shocks are. The older the car, the weaker the structure. The worse the shocks the more pounding the chassis has taken, and the less well the suspension damps out impacts (which is part of it's job). This is why you will always see folks with stock shocks RAVING about SFC's, and those with good shocks are more "I noticed a difference".
You can stiffen the structure which SFC's do, or damp impacts better and not let the hardest impact get to the structure in the first place. Both help. Shocks however do not increase torsional or longitudinal bending resistance. SFC's do.
