    Question springs and shocks

hi there im having trouble installing new blistein shocks to my 98 z28. this is my first time doing this so im quite unsure and dont want to mess any thing up, and i dont want to pay 260 bucks for someone to do it for me. i bought a guide for 93-02 camaros but the directions are quite vague. well any way i got the car lifted and put the jack stands on the rear subframe but when i start loosening the top mount for the shocks the nut just keeps turning but doesnt come out it stays in the same place....is there a web site where it shows you pictures and step by step instruction?

Sounds like you are doing the rears first, and it sounds like the shaft is turning with the nut. It's been a while since I messed with the rears but I think you have to hold the shaft with some pliers or vice grips while turning the nut. The front shocks are going to be way more challenging for you my friend. I just finished mine

Here is another site for you.

When replacing the front struts it is important to re-assemble the shock within the spring in the same orientation as it came out. The top perch must be aligned with the bottom connecting bracket fairly close to the original position. This isn't hard to accomplish but you must be aware of the situation before you begin to remove the spring from the strut.
