    Rear suspension parts install question

I have UMI rear lower control arms, panhard and subframe connectors to install on my CETA convertible. I have a lift. Do I take off the rear tires and and support the vehicle with jack stands under the axles? Try to do all three with the wheels on? All the instructions refer to putting the car on jack stands - which I don't need to do to get under there. Any help appreciated.

thanks - seems like the easiest way is to do it all with the wheels on the car and the car on the lift. I should have enough room to get to everything. The panhard and control don't need the suspension to be loaded - but is it OK if it is?

yes, it's fine, if they are fixed it won't make any difference, if they are adjustable you can install them loaded or not but you will have to have the suspension loaded to make the final measurements/adjustments. You might need a second set of hands to push on the car while you connect bolts, but that's it.

Thanks for the quick replies - install was easy with the kwiklift - finished with time to spare to take my wife out to dinner. The valet at the restaurant had me park in the spot reserved for the car everyone sees when entering or leaving the place. Being in Princeton there was a healthy supply of Mercedes, BMW and Audi but they still wanted the big bird on display.

Gotta do the torque arm next.
