Rear End Question ---- Need Help Please!

I have the opportunity to buy a posi rear end with disc brakes that come from a '89 camaro and another from a '96 camaro. Both are z28 rear ends. My question is..... How wide are these rear ends? Im building a 69 chevy short bed in which im currently converting it to a disc rear end and instead of getting the conversion kit it would be a whole lot easier to swap rear ends.

Another question is..... What bolt pattern are these rear ends? I was told that they are 5x5 but I thought camaros came with 5x4.75

I don't think I would put either one in such a heavy vehicle. They have a small ring gear and are too weak. I've seen'em blow up in a small block S-10 before.

Camaros should be 5x4.75. How much power are you making? I'd go with a 12 bolt if you can find one at a decent price. many trucks used Dana's & 12 bolts. I have a stock 12 bolt in my 70 Formula and it has taken quite a beating. If you're keeping the leafs, you'll need new perchs on them anyway. If it is a little more narrow, you just use bigger tires

try to keep the same offset with them as bearings can burn up.
